Paint Codes

i was wondering if i could find the original paint code for my car. I was gonna buy a body kit an dwanted to paint it myself, but i dont know where to buy the correct paint. any siggestions? thanx

Did I understend you right you don't know where can you see your paint code,If that is so it's on your bridge(there's a sticker you can see it everytime you step in the car it's on rights side of the bridge-door,if you don't have it you go to some store that have paint to mix and show them your cover from gas it's the easyest part to move and it had original paint on it...

Yes, open the driver door...and look on the B pillar near where the door latches to the body. there is a small white sticker with black lettering, letters and numbers, about 4 or 5 digits. Should be something like:

BG28P-4 (Tahitian Green)
NH538 (white)

etc....what color is the car, and what model, year...I might be able to look at my chip books.

OK. My code is R-63. Its 1988 Civic DX, does anyone know what the name of this color is and where I might be able to get paint?

I believe R-63 is Honda Rio Red, not 100% sure though.
